PITTSBURG APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM PREPARING PENNSYLVANIANS FOR IT CAREERS

On her recent visit to Pittsburgh, Department of Labor & Industry (L&I) Secretary Jennifer Berrier stopped by an apprenticeship program that is training Pennsylvanians for information technology careers. The program aims to provide participants with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in an IT career. Through the program, participants receive on-the-job training and classroom instruction in various IT disciplines, including software development, network administration, and cybersecurity.

During her visit, Secretary Berrier toured the program and spoke with participants about their experiences. She also met with business leaders to discuss how the program benefits the local economy. Overall, her visit served as a reminder of the importance of investing in workforce development. Programs like these provide an opportunity for individuals to gain high-quality training and build a successful career.
